Today at Sunday River

2.6.12 afternoon

Hope you  packed your sunscreen because it is super sunny and warm out today—a quick taste of spring before we head back into winter. We’re not making snow tonight, but it’ll resume tomorrow once temps dip down again. It doesn’t look like it now, but you should expect to see some flurries later today and into the night—just a little reminder that it’s still early February and it’s still winter out there. Tomorrow, we head back into the sunshine for more runs on 84 groomies and 12 naturals.

In park news, you should see some activity in Rocking Chair as the crew pushes all that snow into shape to get the park up and running. Plus, Starlight is getting some attention as we prepare for the USASA Maine Mountain Series Slopestyle event this coming Saturday. Should be fun to watch so plan now for the weekend!

Speaking of weekends, long weekends are the perfect excuse for a ski trip, and our ski and stay packages make them a great deal as well. You can book Presidents' Weekend (Feb 17-18), add a third night to ski on Monday, or book the following weekend (Feb 24-25) for just $99 per night including lodging, 12-hour lift tickets, and free ski or snowboard clinics for adults. Or, come up midweek and stay as many nights as you want starting at just $99 per night for lodging, 12-hour lift tickets, and free clinics for adults.

Looking for more ticket deals? You can save big (or even ski free) with a Frequent Skier Card, or score a $49 Friend Ticket if you're with a season passholder.

If you have a smart phone check out our handful of mobile apps here, including our mobile Facebook app, Foursquare badge, and the new Sunday River Replay - it will track your vertical, speed, and even calories burned. And for the latest conditions and lift status on the go, bookmark our mobile site at m.sundayriver.com.

Tips up!
